Electromechanical engineering (alternatively/also written as electromechanical eng., or electro-mechanical eng.) refers to the analysis, design, manufacture and maintenance of equipment and products based on the combination of electrical/electronic circuits and mechanical systems.

What exactly does an Electromechanical Engineer do?

An electromechanical engineer will work on systems both electrical and mechanical. Some responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and overseeing the manufacturing of a wide range of systems. This includes household appliances, industrial machinery, and military equipment. It also involves in the maintenance and repair of these systems.

Electromechanical Engineering people often work on projects that require the integration of electrical and mechanical systems, such as automated manufactured equipment. Additionally, Electromechanical Engineers may be responsible for developing and testing control systems and monitoring the performance of the systems they design. Moreover, in the past, Electromechanical Engineering people have worked on maintaining systems on assembly lines that use robots to pack medical equipment and have had to perform maintenance on various systems throughout the year.
